Tanya graduated in 1994 from Queen’s University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. She started her career working on the oil rigs of Alberta for Schlumberger. When she moved back to Ontario, she worked as a Program Manager in the automotive sector for such companies as Lear Corporation, The ABC Group and Progressive Moulded Products. Her last manufacturing position was with The Ford Motor Company as a Production Superintendent. In 2001, Tanya decided to leave the manufacturing sector and join her father Manfred as a project engineer for Bermis Inc. Since joining, she has obtained her Master Electrician licence. Her experience in manufacturing brought insight to Bermis from the customers prospective.
Kevin Thompson Assistant Manager / Senior Service
Kevin is a licensed journeyman Electrician who has been in the trade for over 32 years. He has been with Bermis since 1989. Kevin started in the Service department and is currently the companies Assistant Manager and handles the day to day scheduling of the electrical and mechanical divisions. Kevin specializes in process design and application, as well as troubleshooting. During Kevin’s 22 years of service with Bermis he has dealt with clients within Ontario and has also handled special projects for clients that have taken him to Germany, Mexico City, Texas, New Jersey , Mississippi and Michigan. These special projects include the Automotive, Plastics and Food sectors for companies represented here in Ontario.
Alex Cristenco Chief Estimator
Alex has been an electrical estimator for over twenty five years. Learning experience and work history includes being part of the teams pricing large projects like PEI Bridge, Air Canada Centre, Mississauga Living Arts Centre, Shaw Broadcasting and smaller ones like maintenance projects for Unilever Canada, Silgan Plastics, Gentek Building Supply and many others.
